Happy Friday my friends. I mentioned a giveaway that I’m really excited about, so I’m here to deliver!
Have you heard about The Mighty River Project? Well if you haven’t, then you should go to their site PRONTO. They are doing amazing work. I don’t say that lightly. The Mighty River Project is an organization that empowers women in Uganda both with skills sets, missions, and child care. They employ and train the women in the area to make these beautiful baskets. With those skills, they are empowering the families financially which builds the entire community. TMRP also plans to provide childcare of the children of the women making baskets so that they aren’t left home with older siblings or by themselves. They will be on the same site as their mothers, safe, and in a healthy environment. And lastly, TMRP gets involved with orphan care in the region. They volunteer and provide financial assistance. It’s all pretty incredible the impact they are having there.
My sweet friend Erin Littleton and her husband started this organization after living in Uganda. They have a heart for Uganda and really believe that if they empower the parents to provide for their children, the numbers of orphans will drastically decrease. They plan on moving onto The Mighty River Project property with their three gorgeous children. Incredible right?
Ok so, Erin sent me a basket and necklace that one of the women on their property made. Yall- I was blown away. It’s gorgeous. I immediately put it in the center of my dining room table and it hasn’t moved!

See what I mean!? Erin and The Mighty River Project have graciously offered to send a necklace and basket to one of my readers!
So leave a comment with your name and email and if you feel like it, what you are grateful for this Friday and I’ll randomly pick a winner at the end of the day on Tuesday. I’ll email the winner for their address and Erin will mail the package to you directly.
If you haven’t already, please hop over to TMRP’s website. It’s pretty awesome the work they are doing and if you feel led, give a donation! I know that I plan on doing so.
Have a great weekend!
