Who am I?
My name is Martha. Welcome! If we are who we love; I love Jesus, my husband, my Bud and Bennett Rippy, my dog, candy, and laughing. On any given day, I'll be the one wearing cowboy boots, mismatched socks, asking you "Whats your story?!" and singing songs with kids. We are southerners living on the west coast as my husband serves in the Army. I love hearing from you so drop me a comment or email! Thanks for visiting!Grab a button!

#Repost @sam.metzler with @repostapp???In the last few weeks, five young men have been killed by bad people in dark places. They were killed while they were voluntarily trying to keep you and your family safe. While we were eating a meal, going to work, laughing with friends, or sleeping in our beds, someone lost their son or brother or husband or dada. This is not uncommon and it will happen again – what is less common is when we feel this loss and sit in that news for a while, letting its weight truly sink in. And even on the days when a young man does not die, they willingly encounter that risk so your sons aren't required to. I'm not posting this to make folks sad or to make any sort of anti-war statement or anything like that. One's position on war does not change that we are there. I'm posting this because it is just so important to not forget what is happening in these dangerous places every single day. In a time when the news frequently doesn't even mention these occurrences, I'd ask you to seek this information out. Do something to support the people who risk their lives for you. Seek out the surviving families and care for them however you can. Please don't let these sacrifices which are so heavy and extraordinary be missed or treated as ordinary. #neverforget
